#10 Olsen Twins

AM I SEEING DOUBLE?

The famous due is Fashion’s It Girls! To those of you not familiar with the twins Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Fuller Olsen are American actresses and entrepreneurs.  They have both appeared on television and in films from infancy.  They have became famous threw there numerous television programs, films, and commercials.  They look similar in appearance with blonde hair and round cheeks although Mary-Kate is known to die her hair a deep red from time to time. 

As the girls grew up so did their great interest in fashion.  The New York Times has declared Mary-Kate as a fashion icon for her Bohemian look which is now popular with many celebrities and fans.  The style can also be refereed to as “Boho-chic”. Although the girls have been put on PETA’s 2006 Worst Dressed list for wearing fur their following in Fashion has kept growing.  

The twins have a clothing line in Wal-Mart stores across America for girls ages 4-14.  They have also launched a couture fashion label called “The Row”. Their newest line can be found in JCPenny called OlsenBoy.  The girls wanted to reach a greater audience and reach many price points.   

The fans seem to love the girls so much that they have dedicated websites just to them. http://olsensanonymous.blogspot.com/  Is just one of the websites. It contains information on the girls whereabouts along with pictures of the stars.  It shows outfits they have on and how to get your look to be the same. It also shares links to stores the girls have bought clothing at attached to pictures.    

#9 New Show Format

Awesome video right? Express has advanced way ahead of the competition in their new campaign.  Not only did they throw a free public fashion show in times square, showing the public a preview of the new line. They used the opportunity to expand there company budget by also shooting a commercial and take all their pictures for the Winter 2011 promotions & editorials at once.  The treated the models walks down the runway as a photo shoot.  Clips from the show were edited together with shots of times square and new york city to make an eye catching commercial.  

#8 Look Book

Versace Spring/Summer 2011

A lookbook is a collection of photographs compiled to show off a model, a photographer, a style, or a clothing line.  They tend to sell a feel or style for the season & spread the ideas easier for the designer.  The Versace Spring/ Summer 2011 look book is all about bright colors, fun and flirty styles to make any young woman stand out.  

The seasons feature bright orange, violet, green, white and black color outfits for every fashion-oriented woman in mind. Beautiful violet shades with eye drawing prints and sexy styles look to good to miss out on. The trunk show was hosted at the Mon Amie Bridal Salon. Lazaro him self made a special appearance! He took the time to create sketches of each bride's dress from the trunk show. The pictures included in this video are all from the show by the designer himself. Hope you enjoy this video as much as I did.

#6 Fashion Show

IT IS BETSEY!



This video is Betsey Johnson's Fall 2011 Fashion Show. Her theme is He Loves Me Not. I find her style and shows to always be very unique. I would love to work with her and learn from her personally. Although I have only met her once this past weekend she is truly an insperation. Her concepts are always very creative and other shows are not even to compare. Her music choices where inspiring from her Dead Mou5e remix to Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics. It was clear she was mixing the tunes of this day and age with popular oldies from 1980s. This is by far one of my favorite fashion shows because it is such a relatable feel and an amazing proformance to watch! Don't you love it too?

Fall 2012 Color Trends

NEUTRALS 

From the brows to the olive greens everyone will be sporting a neutral color next fall.  Faux fur vests will stay in trend much like this fall and last, so don't throw them away yet ladies!  This season we have seen a lot of one shade wonders on jackets and vests but next year true animal patterns will arrive.  Faux fur accents will be stripped and dotted like an actual animal fur. Hope no one gets to frisky with the new fashion. 

Military wear is still going to be slightly impacting trends with the olive green winter coats and rain coats.  The look will draw the eyes of everyone from men and women to toddlers.  Tight pants will be seen with cargo pockets.   

Jeans will stay much in the picture as a usual staple but the light blues are out.  I am seeing a lot of colored denims but of course they are fitting the trend from chestnut to charcoal.  

Shades of browns and black will impact leather jackets and warm boots.  Tan will seem to be a detail on every staple item from linings in boots and jackets to trims of sweaters and bags.  Uggs will fit in with every style.
